Toyin Abraham bows to pressure, release her Twitter influencer, Ayo from police custody

Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has bowed to the pressure from Nigerians after they dragged her mercilessly for arresting a Twitter influencer, Ayo who trolled her.

X has been on fire for a few days now with actress Toyin Abraham at the center of the heat.
Toyin reportedly arrested an X user who threatened her son and family and since then, Netizens have been aiming for her blood. It was also alleged that she arrested his mum but she made a video swearing that she would never do such and swearing that she would rather die in the process of getting justice for being threatened than keep quiet.

Users on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) rallied together, calling for justice and Ayo’s freedom. They went as far as reporting her social media pages, as well as writing to Netflix to take down her movies. Netizens urged the streaming platform to boycott her movies and take a firm stance against her behavior.

However, the situation took a dramatic turn when prominent activist VeryDarkMan issued a 24-hour ultimatum to Toyin Abraham, demanding Ayo’s release.

Verydarkman reacted to the case by slamming Toyin Abraham for trying to oppress the influencers. However, a recent clip of him changing his tone as he apologized to the actress and pleaded with her to release the influencers has gone viral.

In the new video, VDM apologized to Toyin Abraham and asked her to do everything she could to get Big Ayo out of jail. He noted that he had nothing to say about the person who said he would “Kpai” Toyin’s son. But for the other person who insulted her husband and claimed she collected money; she would forgive him and have him released.

Shortly after, reports surfaced on social media confirming that Ayo had indeed been freed.

The announcement was made by another Twitter influencer, Abazz, who took to his X page to share the news.

He expressed gratitude to all those who supported the movement for Ayo’s release.

He wrote:

“Big Ayo is free. Thank you everyone ????????❤️”

Bella Christopher stated: “Now that he’s out, should we go and start taking back the mails we sent about her movies and others? Just because of this boy matter I can’t get a proper head, ahh finally thoo”

Meanwhile, in the wake of the entire shenanigan, veteran actor Yinka Quadri has made a clarion call to Nollywood.

Taking to his Instagram page, he stated that it is high time Nollywood and the entertainment sector unite and have a voice. He stated that they need to tackle false accusations, libel and slander and even possibly hire a legal team.Yinka noted how emotional blackmail is no joke and how celebrities aren’t robots and also have human feelings.

In his words;

“It’s high time for Nollywood and the entertainment sector in general to come together and have a voice. We need to tackle false accusations, libel and slander. If possible, we get a legal team.
Emotional blackmail is no joke. Celebrities are not robots; people need to remember that we are human with feelings too.

“It should be noted that “One thorn of experience is worth a whole wilderness of warning. To be before warned is to be before harmed”…

“Public figures have the right to freedom of choice and of expression, right to vote/or support a candidate of choice in any election… Making political decisions shouldn’t warrant cyberbullying and harassment.

“Just of recently, a fake report of my death was posted by a toxic person … If I now arrest such an individual and take further action, people will say it’s bully and an abuse of power…Celebrities are often violated in ways that are considered inhumane and awful. So, therefore, celebrities should be free to take proper action to protect their mental space…

Kind regards”.
