The Super Eagles of Nigeria saw their journey at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations come to an abrupt end, after a lone goal defeat to Tunisia.
Having progressed from the group stage as the only team with maximum points, hopes were high for the Eagles to get past the round of 16 and progress to the next round.

A last-minute effort from substitute Sadiq Umar went off wide along with Nigeria’s bid for a fourth AFCON triumph.
Tunisia, the 2004 Nations Cup winners, will face Burkina Faso, who defeated Gabon on penalties in the last eight on Saturday, January 29, 2022.
