UCL: Brilliant Mbappe inspires PSG to an impressive victory against Barcelona.

Kylian Mbappe was unplayable against Barcelona on Tuesday as both teams went head to head for the first leg of their round of 16 tie at Camp Nou.

The 22-year-old got his name on the score sheet thrice as the French Champions came from behind to inflict a first-leg defeat on a lackluster Barcelona.

The night started slowly for last year’s finalists as Lionel Messi put the host in front of the spot in the 27th minute.

Mbappe soon leveled things up for Pochetino’s side.

After the break, the Frenchman fired home from 10 yards to put his team in front before On-loan Everton striker Moise Kean nodded in a third for Paris St-Germain.

Barca looked like they could pull a goal back and hopefully get into the game. Still, the World Cup winner wasn’t entirely done as he curled in the purpose of the night with his third of the night and PSG’s fifth, sealing off the damage to ensure the Parisians became the first team to defeat Barcelona at Camp Nou in champions league history.

The second leg of the tie takes place on March 10 in Paris. Still, PSG is fully aware that despite the advantage they have heading into the return leg, the link is far from over, having been on the wrong end of a Barcelona comeback when the sides met at this stage in 2016-17, Luis Enrique’s men turning around a 4-0 deficit to win the return leg 6-1 with three late goals.

UCL RESULTS TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2021
