Kylian Mbappe, put the hosts ahead minutes into the game, before Andre Silva, levelled things for the visitors heading into the break.
After the break, Nordi Mukiele, put the Germany side ahead, but Messi tapped in a rebound of his shot to bring PSG on leveled terms in the 67th minute.
The Argentine went on to score a penalty in the 74th minute and though Mbappe missed a penalty late on, the effort was enough for the French side to grab a much-needed three points.
