UCL: Man City knocks Bayern out, set up Semi-Finals clash against Real Madrid
Manchester City is billed to trade tackles with Real Madrid in the Semi-Finals of the Champions League, after knocking Bayern out of the competition with a 4-1 aggregate score.
City traveled to Munich with a 3-0 advantage from the first leg and Thomas Tuchel’s side was hoping to stage a comeback, and though the return fixture ended in a 1-1 draw, a comeback did not happen for Bayern.
This is the second Semi-Final clash between City and Madrid, with City suffering a heartbreaking defeat, as Madrid went to win the trophy.
Beyond seeking revenge against Madrid, who have won the title a record 14 times, City is in their fifth Semis and will be looking to go all the way and win the Champions League, a trophy which they have never won in their history.
