UCL: PSG, Benfica share the spoils as Lionel Messi sets new record

Paris St-Germain had to settle for a point against  Benfica in Group H encounter in the Champions League.

Lionel Messi gave PSG the lead in the 22nd minute and set a new Champions League record, as the first player to score against 40 different teams in the competition.

But Danilo Pereira’s own goal levelled things for the home side in the 41 minute.

Both teams remain unbeaten so far in the competition and are both on seven points from three games, with Barcelona topping the group.

PSG will look to take home all the points when they welcome the Portuguese side to Paris next week.
