UCL: Real Madrid grabs first leg win against 10-man Chelsea
Real Madrid set the tone for a possible Champions League semifinals qualification with a 2-0 win over 10-man Chelsea at the Bernabeu.
Goals from Karim Benzema and substitute, Marco Asensio, in both halves of the game were enough to do the damage to Frank Lampard’s send that got reduced to 10, following Ben Chilwell’s 59th straight red card for a foul on Rodrygo.
Chelsea will have to go back to the drawing board and regroup ahead of the return leg at Stanford Bridge.
