UCL; Salah bags hat-trick as Liverpool runs riot on Rangers

Mohamed Salah was the absolute star of the night as he came off the bench to score a hat-trick in six minutes and set a few new records, as Liverpool ruthlessly demolished Rangers in their Champions League encounter on Wednesday.

Both teams were at tie at the break thanks to Scott Arfield’s opener for Rangers and Robert Firmino’s equalizer for Liverpool.

After the break, Liverpool went all out on the Scottish side, as Firmino and Nunez increased the deficit.

The Reds could have made do with a 3-1 score line but, Salah came on in the 68th minute and went on a scoring spree, netting three goals in a space of six minutes, the fastest hat-trick in champions league history.

Youngster, Harvey Elliott also got his name on the score sheet, eight minutes after Salah’s third goal.

Liverpool are second in Group A with nine points, three behind group leaders, Napoli, while Rangers are bottom with no points as they are yet to win a game.
