UCL SEMIS: Manchester City claim narrow win over Madrid in thrilling first leg

Manchester City will head into the second leg of their Champions League semi-final clash against Real Madrid with a narrow lead, after holding on to a 4-3 at the Etihad stadium.

The thrilling end-to-end game saw the Citizens head into the break with a 2-1 advantage over the 13 times European Champions.
After the break, Pep Guardiola’s men took the deficit to 3-1, barely two minutes later, Vinicius Junior, pulled one back for the visitors, who fell behind again when Bernardo Silva netted City’s fourth goal.

Anyone would write off any other team at this point, but not Real Madrid, who went on to score a panenka penalty, handing Carlo Anceloti’s side a lifeline heading to the second leg.
