UEFA Nations League: Portugal Secure convincing win without Ronaldo
Defending champions of the inaugural Nations League, Portugal were without frontman and skipper Cristiano Ronaldo who tested positive for coronavirus before their get against Sweden but his absence almost went unnoticed as they beat Sweden 3-0 in Lisbon.
Liverpool’s Diogo Jota was on the cause as set up Bernardo Silva for the opener then scored two of his own, one either side of half-time in a game that could have seen Portugal score more but for a wasted chance.
After the game, the clearly impressed Portuguese coach, Fernando Santos said admitted that the team will always be better with Cristiano, but with victory, they showed they can still compete.

Meanwhile, Inform, prolific striker, Robert Lewandowski scored a brace, bringing his international goal tally to 63 and provided an assist as Poland beat Bosnia and Herzegovina 3-0 in Warsaw.
Karol Linetty got the other goal as Poland top Group A, a point above Italy and two ahead of the Netherlands.
