UEFA Nations League: Ryan Giggs’ Wales bag slim win against Finland

Wales kicked off their UEFA Nation’s League B campaign by securing with a   narrow 1-0 win away from home against Finland on Thursday night.

The winner came in the 80th when Kieffer Moore got on the end of a low cross from Manchester United winger Daniel James, who produced a man of the match display in Helsinki.

The goal which was enough to hand the Welsh side a good start to their new campaign made it three goals in eight games for the Cardiff City new boy.

The keenly contested game in the Finnish capital, saw striker Gareth Bale taken off at half-time and replaced by Liverpool’s Harry Wilson, a decision Giggs described as plan and necessary for the player who has been out of sort at Real Madrid and has “had no football at all” as his national team coach.
