“We are officially divorced”- Ireti Doyle  opens up on her marriage crash and enduring domestic violence

Chude Jideonwo finally succeeded in having an exclusive chit chat with one of Nollywood’s fines, Ireti Doyle, where she opened up on her marriage crash, and emotional and domestic abuse, likewise having her first child at 19.

In an interview with Chude, opened up on her marriage to film producer and actor Patrick Doyle with whom she has 6 kids.

The actress bluntly stated, “We are officially divorced.”

Chude in his speech disclosed that the actress suffered physical and domestic violence as a teen, and she supported his claim as she added that she had no business getting married at that time, not to talk of who she chose to get married to.

“The truth of the matter is that I had no business being married at that time talk less of… let’s not even go to the choice of who I got married to”, she said. 

The actress also corrected the impression that she had her first child at 17, noting that she was 19 when she became a mother.

Ireti and Patrick Doyle got married in 2004 and have six children together but lost one to sickle cell in 1999.

In 2017, Ireti moved out of the house after an undisclosed dispute with her husband.

Two years after, Patrick Doyle took to social media to publicly apologise to his wife after admitting he was the one who screwed up their relationship.
