West Ham wins first major trophy in 43 years

It took 43 years, but West Ham are finally proud winners of a European trophy, following a dramatic stoppage time victory over Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League final in Prague on Wednesday.

It looked like the rather feisty game would head into extra time after Giacomo Bonaventura’w effort in the 67th minute canceled Said Benrahma’s 62nd minute penalty.

However, Jarrod Bowen’s perfected time run in the 90th minute put David Moyes’ men back in front and handed them the trophy.
