World Cup: Casemiro’s goal sends Brazil to round of 16

Casemiro’s 83rd-minute strike was just enough to secure a second group stage victory for Brazil and send them to the last 16 of the ongoing 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

After playing a goalless game for most of the regulation time, it looked like Switzerland was on the verge of getting a point off the Samba boys, who wee without an injured Neymar, but Casemiro rose to the occasion and helped separate the five-times world champions from their opponents.

Meanwhile, a thrilling encounter between Cameroon and Serbia saw the other Group G game end in a 3-3 draw.

The results leave Brazil at the top of the group with 6 points, three points ahead of second-placed Switzerland, while Cameroon and Serbia are third and fourth with a point each.
