Nollywood actress, Lynda Clems has called out her colleague, Annie Idibia in a rather harsh manner, over a newly released web series ‘Nkoyo’.
Lynda, leaving out the details of their disagreement, first shared a photo of Idibia with the caption: “Women supporting women my ass! Annie Idibia! You are snake ! A very evil one.”
The actress subsequently took to her Instagram story with a screenshot of Idibia’s newly released series ‘Nkoyo’ and the caption: “This B***h has pushed me to limit”.
In a different post, Lynda wrote, “It’s safe to say Nollywood is a good place for any criminal to retire and invest in.”
Although details of what transpired between the actresses remain unclear, the said movie, ‘Nkoyo’experienced a delayed release. The web series which was originally scheduled to premiere in July was finally premiered on August 4,2021 on Nevada Bridge video streaming platform.
While no comment was given on the reason for the pushback, the production company confirmed that the delay will be worth the wait.
Directed by Seyi Babatope, ‘Nkoyo’ is based on the titular comic character created by Idibia. It became famous for first appearing in 2019 romantic drama ‘Open Scar’.
The new series will star Idibia as Nkoyo alongside Big Brother Naija season five former housemate, Nengi Hampson, and then IK Ogbonna, Ini Edo, Kate Henshaw, 2Baba Idibia, Larry Gaaga, Eso Dike, Nikky Ufondu and comedians Nasboi, Acapella, Omini Aho.
