“Young People Are Dying!” – Daddy Showkey Warns Celebrities Against Drug Abuse

Veteran Musician, Daddy showkey has started a campaign against drug abuse, shortly after the death of
DMW Associate, Habeed Uthman a.k.a Obama DMW.

Daddy showkey shared a video online with the caption, “Message to you wey get ear to hear, workout
you no go do , oh my God”. Daddy Showkey in the video said that people’s perception of his post
will not hinder him from passing his message. He said people should learn to go for regular checkups
likewise take care of their health. He significantly pointed out smokers, stressing that he is not perfect
either, but it is getting too much as young people are actually dying from excessive consumption of
drugs. In his words;

“I know so many of you will not like this video, but I need to do it this morning. You see why we are
shouting about you people taking care of your health. Know the situation of your body. Go to the
hospital. Do medical checkup just to know the situation of your body. All these people, everyday you
smoke this, smoke that, you drink anyhow. At the end of the day of the day, it is your body that
everything tells on. I’m not telling you that I’m a perfect human being, but I’m just telling you that we
should all take care of our health. Young people are dying! You wey you dey smoke, smoke for your
house, hide am smoke. Wetin you dey encourage?! Ehn! Young people dey die!”

His message is coming after the sudden death of Obama DMW, who was reported to have died from
heart attack due to smoking and alcohol consumption.
Daddy Showkey was a major star in the 1990s and is credited with hit songs like ‘Diana,’ ‘Fire Fire’ and
‘Ghetto Soldier.’He is known for popularising the ‘Galala’ song and dance step.
