Popular Nigerian crossdresser and internet personality, Bobrisky, has opened up about falling victim to an online romance scam that cost him $990.
According to Bobrisky, the scammer initiated contact via direct message, claiming to have moved from the United States to Canada. Over several months, they developed a rapport through frequent conversations.

Things took a turn when a U.S.-based client approached Bobrisky for a paid advert. The client insisted on making a deposit via CashApp. Since Bobrisky doesn’t own a CashApp account, he turned to his online “friend” for help. The man agreed to receive the payment on his behalf.
Unfortunately, as soon as the money hit the scammer’s account, he blocked Bobrisky and disappeared without a trace.
Sharing his experience, Bobrisky In a post on his Instagram on Sunday expressed shock and disappointment over the incident, admitting he never imagined being deceived by such a scheme.
“I never thought in my life I would be a client to anybody. This guy came into my DM, and we’ve been talking for almost a few months now. He calls me almost every day. He said he lived in the USA but moved to Canada.”
“Few weeks later, someone in the USA reached out for ads. She said she needed a CashApp to pay her deposit, and I asked this guy talking to me. He said he would give me his own. As soon as he got the money, he blocked me immediately.”
Bobrisky went further to post screenshots of their conversations and a photo of the alleged scammer, warning his fans to be careful with who they trust online.
