Former President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on the one-year anniversary of his inauguration.
In a statement released by Mallam Garba Shehu on Tuesday, the ex-president urged all citizens to persist in reinforcing the bond of national unity and harmony.
He further asked them to bestow their blessings and assistance upon the Tinubu administration to help it achieve success in its endeavor to construct a Nigeria that fulfills our aspirations.
President Buhari extended his desire for the Tinubu administration to have a prosperous term in office.
On his part, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the first-anniversary celebration, describing the president as a great leader and a visionary of modern Nigeria.
Barau noted this in a statement via his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, he noted that President Tinubu has navigated the once-adrift ship of the Nigerian State to safety.
“I join all Nigerians and other admirers around the world in congratulating a great visionary leader of our time, the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on the occasion of the first anniversary of this government.
“His Excellency has, no doubt, steadily navigated the once-adrift ship of the Nigerian State to safety,” he said.
Yesterday, the Presidency had said President Bola Tinubu would not be delivering a nationwide broadcast on Wednesday to commemorate his first year in office as the leader of Nigeria.
