Nigerian music sensation Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has become embroiled in a controversy involving Lagos socialite Sophia Egbueje. In a leaked audio recording, Egbueje alleges that Burna Boy promised her a Lamborghini in exchange for an intimate encounter, a promise she claims remains unfulfilled.
The audio, which has rapidly circulated online, reveals Egbueje expressing her disappointment over the unkept promise. She recounts how influencer Ama Reginald encouraged her to pursue a relationship with Burna Boy, citing his history of lavish gifts to previous partners. Egbueje claims that, based on these assurances, she engaged with the artist, anticipating similar gestures.
In the recording, Egbueje voices her frustration, stating that after the encounter, Burna Boy failed to deliver the promised luxury car. She mentions purchasing a watch for herself, only to later discover that Burna Boy had gifted a similar item to another woman, Chloe Bailey. Feeling betrayed, Egbueje blocked the artist and expected Reginald and her boyfriend, Manny, who serves as Burna Boy’s personal assistant, to mediate on her behalf.
