The marching order came on the heels of Saturday’s 2-0 home defeat by Aston Villa, the Blue’s 11th loss in 32 games since Potter replaced an equally sacked Thomas Tuchel in September.

Saturday’s defeat moved the London side from 10th to 11th on the EPL table, 12 points adrift of the top four, despite splashing over 550 million pounds on new players this season.
