Media personality Daddy Freeze has officially joined The Honest Bunch podcast, stepping in to replace Nedu Wazobia after his departure earlier this year amid serious allegations. The podcast team shared the news on Instagram, teasing “hotter takes, deeper convos and unapologetic honesty,” while Freeze confirmed on his page: “A new era has begun”
The change was announced on the podcast’s Instagram page with a caption:”The Honest Bunch podcast just got more unfiltered. Get ready for hotter takes, deeper convos and unapologetic honesty. Say hello to our latest addition @daddyfreeze”.
Nedu, a veteran on-air personality, voluntarily left the show in February following intense backlash and rumors that he used the platform to exploit rising entertainers in exchange for appearances. His exit stemmed from the feud between Big Brother Naija star DeeOne, who sparked controversy during a podcast episode by labeling critic VeryDarkMan as gay, and VeryDarkMan’s retaliatory claim that Nedu had offered sexual favors to guests.
Even The Honest Bunch producer Best Amakhian confirmed efforts to retain Nedu after suggesting a short break, but Nedu opted to leave permanently to preserve his mental health and family reputation. With his exit, the lineup now includes Daddy Freeze alongside co-hosts Husband Material, Deity Cole, and Ezinne.
Daddy Freeze, known for his unapologetically direct style and outspoken critiques in media and religion seems tailor-made to pick up where Nedu left off. His arrival signals a refreshed direction for the show, promising edgier commentary and bold conversations that push boundaries missing since Nedu’s departure.
