Afrobeat singer Davido has penned a heartfelt note to Nigerians for making his wedding a success.
Davido’s wedding made the headlines in the past days, as it turned into a carnival of dignitaries, attracting a lot of celebrities and political figures, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo; Osun State governor, Ademola Adeleke; Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, Lagos state governor, Sanwo-Olu and the immediate-past governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel, and celebrities from across Nigeria. They included businessman and celebrity bartender, Pascal Okechukwu, a.k.a Cubana Chief Priest, E-Money, Jowi Zaza and Pretty Mike, among others.
The singer undoubtedly shut down Lagos and the whole of Nigeria with his talk-of-the-town wedding.
Following the success of the wedding, Davido, via his Instagram story, has appreciated Nigerians for making their day a magical one. He went on to declare that love won between him and Chioma.
“Thank you all for making our day a magical one! We really appreciate and we love you. LOVE WON”, Davido posted.
Taking to the comment section, netizens asserted that indeed love won against all odds.

Meanwhile, the newly wedded celebrities Davido and Chioma have embarked on their honeymoon, leaving Nigeria for a romantic getaway.
On his Instagram story, Davido posted a photo of his jet, expressing gratitude to Nigerians for making the day magical.
Davido’s aide, Israel DMW, shared a more detailed video of the couple boarding the jet, along with photos and videos of them preparing for takeoff.
