In what seems like a wave going round, the Peoples Democratic Party has lost some of its members to the ruling All Progressive Party in what seems like an urgent move to throw their weight behind President Bola Tinubu.
Today, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, of Delta State who won the 2023 gubernatorial election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has join the wave and made it formal through the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, after a closed-door meeting at the Government House in Asaba.
Meanwhile, former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in a similar move also joined the ruling party as announced by Senator James Manager, following a meeting that lasted over six hours at the Government House.
According to the report by Manager, he noted that all PDP members in the state, including the governor, former Governor Okowa, the Speaker, the state party chairman, and all local government chairmen, had agreed to join the APC. “We cannot continue to be in a sinking boat,” he said.
Just yesterday, a chieftain of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) , Chief Bode George condemned the game of switching parties by some politicians Bode stated that the action betrays the platform that gave them political relevance. His comment follows reports that some PDP governors are decamping to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to support President Bola Tinubu’s second-term bid.
The Governors reported to have declared their intentions and some weighing their options include: Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Umo Eno, Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, Enugu state Governor, Peter Mbah, and the suspended Governor of Rivers State, Sim Fubara.
Those that defected today while stating their reson said there was an extensive consultations with political stakeholders

The plan is simple, since the north is now reconsidering support to APC, make sure you secure entire south and fight for the remaining votes from the north. Master strategist don turn Nigeria to one party democrazy.

We're not just heading toward a one-party system, we're walking right into a system designed to silence opposition, oppress minorities, shield the corrupt, and tighten control through divide-and-rule tactics. If we don’t wake up now, there may be nothing left to resist tomorrow
