MultiChoice Nigeria has introduced a new range of DStv and GOtv subscription packages, promising subscribers more viewing choices and additional entertainment content.
The company announced the changes under its “Expect More” campaign, saying the revised packages were developed in response to customers who wanted better value and content that reflects their interests.
One of the major additions is the inclusion of SuperSport KICKOFF and Africa Magic+ on lower subscription packages. The move is expected to give more households access to football coverage and locally produced drama without necessarily paying for the more expensive options.
Under the new structure, DStv subscribers can choose from Starter, Select, Sports and Premium packages, while GOtv customers have Easy, Starter, Select and Sports options.
The DStv Starter package is priced at ₦6,000 and includes SuperSport KICKOFF and Africa Magic+. The Sports package, priced at ₦21,000, offers coverage of Premier League and UEFA Champions League matches, alongside wrestling competitions such as WWE and UFC.
The revised packages took effect on November 5, 2026.
The announcement comes at a time when many Nigerian households are paying closer attention to the cost of entertainment subscriptions. For subscribers, the important question will be whether the new channel additions provide enough value to justify the cost of their chosen package.
With football and Nollywood content among the major attractions, MultiChoice will be hoping the changes encourage customers to remain on its platforms.
