Nigerian singer and rapper Falz has finally reacted to the ongoing nationwide protests against bad governance.
It is no longer news that Nigerians embarked on a nationwide protest to end bad governance on August 1st, with today marking the third day of the protest.
Falz, who is known for being a firm activist against bad governance, took to the microblogging platform X, to bemoan the level of inhumanity from President Tinubu for turning a deaf ear to the protest.
He queried how long the president intends to keep up with pushing the masses until it all goes sideways.
His words: “Genuinely don’t know why it’s so difficult to be humane. They say make you leave am, you no gree. Say na your birthright. You can’t now turn a deaf ear. You tried to make it look like the protests were “politically motivated”. Shebi una don see now? How long do you think you can keep on pushing the people back before it blows up in your face ?”
It is worth noting that Afrobeat award-winning singer Burna Boy handed over the title of “African Giant” to Falz recently after dissociating himself from the nationwide protest for being canceled by Nigerians in 2020.

In a similar news, Self acclaimed social activist Very Dark Man had some things to get off his chest regarding the nationwide protests.
He started by stating that the rumors making rounds that protesters were sponsored weren’t true because the main sponsors of the event were hike in fuel prices and hunger.
He said that when he went out to protest, a police officer called him aside and asked that he should leave the area, alongside the other protesters, and head to the National Stadium Abuja.
Very Dark Man said he asked him why, and the police man told him that they were just following orders, to which he insisted on verifying.
According to Very Dark Man, Minister Nyemson Wike had ordered the police and other security agencies to confine the protests for Abuja residents to the National Stadium.
Very Dark Man said that shortly after, the police started throwing tear gas at Abuja residents, and they had to run to the stadium, which in the process, he kept calling out Wike’s name.
Despite the fact that he was thrown tear gas by the police, Very Dark Man defended them, stating that they were only acting based on orders, and their hands were tied.
The controversial activist went on to analyze the price of the tear gas which the police was throwing at citizens, and he said that the least would cost about twenty-two thousand Naira.
Very Dark Man said that if only the government had invested the money used to purchase tear gas into bettering the country, citizens wouldn’t be protesting in the first place.
Very Dark Man concluded his video with a message to the President, asking him to reduce the price of fuel.
He said that if the price of fuel is slashed by 50%, personally he wouldn’t go out to protest, and he would encourage others to stay home.
Nollywood actress, Lizzy Gold has also joined the thousands of voices lamenting over the current state of things in the country.
Making a passionate appeal to the President, she urged him to do something as she noted how the citizens look up to him.
She wrote:
“The price of new petrol pump is now N1000 for a litre. Foodstuffs in the market is extremely expensive. How do we survive this? People are hungry. People are dying. Insecurity everywhere. Kidnapping is on the rise.
President do something. You are the government we look up to.
President do something @officialasiwajubat”.
