After playing out a barren contest with Everton leveling up to Manchester City, Phil Foden, took advantage of a defensive blunder and eventually broke the deadlock in the 82nd minute.

Soon after, the game broke into an even more dramatic finale,  as City midfielder Rodri appeared to handle a dropping ball inside his area, but the home side were left livid as they were not granted a penalty appeal even after a VAR check.

The decision left Frank Lampard, his team and the fans furious, but the result was a relief for Pep’s men who were on the verge to dropping more points after losing to Tottenham last weekend.
