EPL: Sesko scores first United goal in defeat to Brentford

Benjamin Sesko scored his first goal for Manchester United in a disappointing 3-1 defeat to Brentford.

The hosts got off to a 2-0 lead within the first 20 minutes of the game courtesy of Igor Thiago’s brace, before Seskso pulled one back leaving things at 2-1 at half time.

After the break, United had the opportunity to level things up, but Bruno Fernandes got his penalty saved by Caoimhin Kelleher.

Right at the brink of stoppage time, Mathias Jensen wrapped things up for the home side, as Reuben Amorim’s failed to build on last weekend’s win at home to Chelsea, now taking their winless run in away matches to eight league games, the longest since 2019.
