Teenager, Alejandro Garnacho’s 17 minutes goal was the difference, however it wasn’t enough as Ten Hag’s side needed to win the game by two goals or more to finish ahead of Real Sociedad.

They only managed one shot on target during the entire game. 😬
With the result, United finished levelled on 15 points with Real Sociedad, but the Spanish side progressed to the round of 16 with a higher goal difference.
The Red Devils will now play in next year’s two legged knockout round plays against teams dropping from the champions league, to book a place in the Europa League’s last 16.
