The Nigeria Police Force has announced the successful apprehension of seven militia herdsmen suspected of being involved in the kidnapping of JAMB candidates. According to a report , the suspects were tracked down and arrested following a coordinated intelligence-led operation aimed at rescuing the students and securing the affected region.
The police command stated that the suspects were found in possession of various weapons and are currently in custody, providing useful information for the ongoing investigation. The candidates, who were reportedly abducted while traveling for their Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), were at the center of a high-pressure rescue effort that involved both tactical units and local informants. Authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring the safety of all students and commuters, vowing that all perpetrators involved in the abduction will face the full wrath of the law.
