Veteran Nollywood actor, Don Richard, has made an emotional appeal to Nigerians for financial support as he battles kidney disease.
In a touching video shared on Instagram by fellow actress Biola Adebayo, Don Richard revealed the toll his health condition has taken on his family and finances. According to him, his wife had to sell both their house and car to cover the cost of his treatment.
“When my wife was told about my health, she started crying. And I told her that another man is a lucky man,” he said through tears. “I begged her to take good care of our children — our twins. As soon as she left the hospital, she sold our house and car to support my treatment. Now, I have nothing left.”
Biola Adebayo, who shared the video, also included his bank account details to encourage donations from well-meaning Nigerians willing to help save the actor’s life.
Many in the Nollywood community and beyond are now rallying support for the actor, who has brought joy to countless homes through his performances over the years.
