“I Lost Job Opportunities Because of My Looks” – Zic Saloma Opens Up on Nose Surgery

Popular Nigerian comedian and content creator, Zic Saloma, has revealed why he underwent cosmetic surgery, saying years of insecurity about his appearance cost him job opportunities.

In a video shared on his Instagram page, Zic explained that he struggled with self-esteem due to his facial features and eventually decided to undergo rhinoplasty (nose surgery) to enhance his looks and boost his confidence.

According to him, in the entertainment industry, appearance sometimes influences opportunities, and he had been turned down for roles because of how he looked.

“I decided to undergo nose surgery because I wasn’t comfortable with my appearance. I had lost several job opportunities in the past because of how I looked. If you can afford cosmetic surgery, do it. If it will make you feel better, go for it,” he said.

The comedian disclosed that the procedure took over four hours and also included a facelift and eye rejuvenation. He had the surgery in Turkey and said the total cost was about $11,000, although he did not pay for it directly as it was part of a collaboration deal with the hospital.

Zic Saloma, known for playing multiple comic characters in his skits, added that the transformation has significantly improved his self-confidence and inspired him to embrace more opportunities in the industry.

He encouraged people battling insecurity about their looks to make decisions that would improve their mental well-being, as long as they choose safe and certified medical options.
