Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has claimed he made a whopping ₦70 million within just 72 hours after his much-hyped celebrity boxing match against entertainer Speed Darlington.
The bout, titled “Chaos in the Ring,” took place on April 18, with Portable emerging victorious via technical knockout. The event generated massive buzz online, with fans eagerly watching the clash of two eccentric personalities.
Speaking in a recent interview, Portable revealed he was paid ₦30 million upfront just to agree to fight Speed Darlington. He added that he was promised another ₦20 million if he won the match, a condition he met with his victory.
According to him, the biggest surprise came after the fight when superstar Burna Boy, who reportedly has a strained relationship with Speed Darlington, gifted him an extra ₦20 million.
He said; “Them first give me N30M make I accept say I go fight. Them come say, if I win, N20M, that’s 50. Na him uncle Burna, after I fight I beat am (Speed Darlington) I even wound am, send 20 million. I use him make N70 million around 3 days.”
