Gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo has alleged that her her former label boss and music producer, Ezekiel ThankGod better known as Eezee Concept is responsible for sponsoring the fake narratives about her on blogs.
In a press release on her Instagram page, she recalled her journey with the music producer, which she stated started from being his background singer to his client. She revealed that towards the middle and end of 2019, he expressed his intention for her to extend her five-year to twelve years. However, she declined, stating that she had other plans.

Mercy said she started noticing that at any given opportunity, Eezee would be hostile and make reference to the contract. He started talking tough and repeatedly about the contract, which wasn’t the norm. Chinwo stated that by the fourth year, the relationship became toxīc as she was enduring untold verbal and emotional assaults that affected her person. She claimed the music producer would use statements like, “I will deal with you, I will mess you up, I made you who you are, I can shut you up, and nobody will hear you again, and I will destroy your career.
Mercy said the toxicity of her relationship with Eezeetee forced her to relocate from Lagos to Port Harcourt.
Mercy noted the current online bullying and threats are nothing compared to what she suffered while she was with Eezeetee.
She said, “He looked at me and said, ‘I made you who you are, and I will destroy you.’ I became scared of my life, and it got to a point where I had to move from Lagos to Port Harcourt because this man made the environment toxic for me. I’ve endured bullying. I’ve endured threats. Whatever he is doing on social media now is nothing compared to what I went through.
“I’ve endured bullying. I’ve endured threats. Whatever he is doing on social media now is nothing compared to what I went through. You seized my royalties for two years; you are a bully. You’re an oppressor.
“One of my major crimes was when I did a song with pastor Nathaniel Bassey. Because this man hates Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, you went as far as sponsoring fake news about an innocent child, my son. And you said my son was not my son. And you paid bloggers because you hate Pastor Jerry Eze. You didn’t want me to go for his event. The people you fight, I must fight them with you?”
Mercy Chinwo added that Eezee would intimidate her, isolate and bully her, and mislead people, inviting her to events about her availability. Mercy made it known that she never filed a lawsuit against him to demand her catalog but only wants him to release the first three pages and the execution page of the contract she signed in 2017, which he altered, to the public.
Eezee had accused Mercy Chinwo of manipulating institutions to bully him despite the $625,000 she had received from his record label. He pointed out the irony at which she sings gospel songs about Jesus, yet her actions paint a different picture. Exposing her for her lies, he accused Mercy of weaponizing law enforcement and religious organizations in a bid to take over a catalogue she didn’t spend money on and yet, had received huge money from.
Mercy posted,
“NOTICE: Long read
All glory to God, whose grace and mercy have sustained me through every trial. I am deeply grateful to everyone who has prayed for me and stood by me, even without hearing from me. Your support has truly been a blessing.
I never imagined I would have to share this part of my journey, but by His divine grace, I stand here as a living testimony of His love, faithfulness, and victory.
