Social media activist, VeryDarkMan has issued a stern warning to Nigerian media personality, Toke Makinwa, after she offered her two cents about legendary singer, 2face Idibia announcing the end of his marriage to his wife, Annie Idibia Macauley.
Its no longer news that 2baba and his wife Annie have decided to part ways, amidst their marital history and challenges.
The news has since triggered series of reactions and backlash, one of which was from Toke Makinwa. Toke slammed 2Face for choosing the moment Annie Idibia is being scrutinized by the public over her appearance on the latest season of the reality TV show, The Young Famous and African, to announce their divorce.
According to Toke, the singer is adding to the negative narrative about Annie that is in the public. She further berated him for lacking empathy despite preaching about love every other time.
VeryDarkman has however described Toke Makinwa’s recent comment to 2Baba alongside other “concerned female voices” as an attack on the artist. He criticized Toke for harshly judging 2Baba while conveniently ignoring the complexities and shared culpability within the marriage. Verydarkman further warned Toke Makinwa not to gang and attack 2Baba.
He captioned his video;
Dear Toke Makinwa and other woman make una leave 2face oo, no be by force,why the double standards well for me both of them were never meant for each other (Annie ignored all red flags they were never meant to be a thing, anty was obsessed.”

According to the activist, 2Face cannot be blamed for the marriage crash, because Annie Idibia knew 2Face’s past infidelities and baby mamas, but chose to marry him. Verydarkman stated that Annie had married 2face because she wanted it to seem like she was the one who finally ended up with the legendary 2face.
Additionally, he opined that if 2face should approach Toke Makinwa with a proposal for an affair, she would agree without a second thought.

Meanwhile, amidst these back and forth, Nollywood actress Uche Jombo has disassociated herself from the current marital crisis between 2Baba and his wife Annie.
While sharing a piece of advise, Uche Jombo stated that it is important to put oneself first because it will help build a healthy relationship.
One of her fans commented on her post and said “ you need to wake up, this is marriage not relationship”. Implying that Uche was referring to the ongoing marital crisis between 2Baba and Annie.
Responding to the comment, Uche Jombo stated, “I am not talking about anyone’s marriage”.
