Martin Lawrence’s oldest daughter, Jasmin, and Eddie Murphy’s eldest son, Eric, are finally engaged to be married, after more than three years of dating.
On Saturday, the couple shared a joint post on Instagram of the special moment when Eric got down on one knee and opens the ring box, prompting Jasmine to say, “It’s beautiful. Oh my gosh,” before exclaiming“yes” and sharing a kiss with her lover.
In the caption of their joint post, Jasmine and Eric wrote, “We’re engaged!! God truly blessed us with a love that feels like destiny.”
“We couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter ❤️❤️,” continued the pair. “Special thank you to everyone who made this moment so beautiful!!”
Opening up about how she and Eric met, she said, “It wasn’t even our dads, and they’ve done two movies together, they’re friends,” she told InTouch Weekly in January 2022, explaining that it was actually her uncle who brought her and Eric together.
“We became really good friends because we bonded on a lot of things,” she added of her now-fiancé, who is the eldest of Eddie’s 10 children. “And over time, it just, you know, became more.”
