Kanye West is once again making the headlines. This time, over explosive statements about his past relationship with Kim Kardashian and their children. In a recent interview with DJ Akademiks, the rapper and fashion mogul revealed that he regrets having kids with Kardashian, admitting that he didn’t want to start a family with her beyond the first two months of dating.
During the conversation, West openly stated:

“That was my fault. I didn’t want to have children with this person after the first two months of being with her, but that wasn’t God’s plan.”
His comments have sparked widespread debate, with many questioning why he continues to air his grievances so publicly. But for Kanye, this is more than just a reflection on the past it’s about the ongoing battle over co-parenting his four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
Kanye has long been vocal about feeling sidelined in major parenting decisions. He claims that, despite having joint custody, he doesn’t feel like he has an equal say in raising his children.

“I don’t got the name and likeness ownership, or at least 50-50 with my kids,” he said. “So how’s it joint custody?”
West has repeatedly accused the Kardashian family of controlling the children’s upbringing, comparing his situation to imprisonment. His frustration centers on key aspects of their lives, schooling, friendships, and even their involvement in the entertainment industry.
During the interview, he ranted about the lack of influence he has over his children’s future:
“My kids are celebrities, and I don’t have the say-so. So this White woman and this White family have control over these highly influential Black kids that are half the children of Ye.”
Kanye’s frustration boiled over earlier this month when news broke that his daughter North had collaborated musically with rapper Playboi Carti. West took to social media in a now-deleted post, blasting Kim Kardashian and her family for allegedly making decisions about their children’s careers without consulting him.
“So Kim got the name and likeness over my Black children. So a White woman has control over the name and likeness of my Black children and then speaks to Carti about putting my daughter on a song with him,” he wrote.
He also called out celebrities for disregarding his parental authority, making it clear that he believes a father should have the final say over his kids.
This isn’t the first time Kanye has voiced concerns about Kardashian’s parenting. Back in 2022, he acknowledged that Kim raises their children “80% of the time” and emphasized the importance of maintaining a peaceful co-parenting dynamic. However, despite moments of reconciliation, their disputes over their children’s exposure to fame and social media have persisted.
West and Kim Kardashian were married for six years, from 2014 to 2021, and their post-divorce relationship has remained rocky. While Kanye continues to express dissatisfaction with their co-parenting arrangement, rumors are now swirling about his current marriage to Bianca Censori.
Reports suggest that Censori may be planning to have a baby in an effort to save their relationship, which has allegedly been on the rocks. Some insiders believe she has ulterior motives, while others see it as a desperate attempt to solidify their bond.
