Manchester United have crashed out of the Champions League, following a 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich in their last group stage game at Old Trafford.
Of the back of a disgraceful 3-0 loss to Bournemouth at home over the weekend, Ten Hag’s side needed a win against Bayern with the hope that the other group A between Galatasaray and Copenhagen would end in a stalemate, for them to qualify from the group.Β
Unfortunately, things didn’t workΒ out, as Kingsley Coman’s 70th minute goal and Copenhagen’s 1-0 victory over Galatasaray, saw to it that United remained bottom of the group, having won just one of their six group games in the competition, losing four and securing one draw.Β
This is just another dip in what can be characterized as a truly damning season so far, for Manchester United.Β
