An AI-generated video which falsely depicts Nigerian comedian and filmmaker, Ayodeji Makun, popularly known as AY and May Edochie, the separated wife of Nollywood star, Yul Edochie kissing, has found its way to the internet, triggering several speculations.
Apparently, a few days ago, May Edochie caused a buzz online after she was spotted traveling in a business class with the comedian, AY Makun. The two were traveling to watch the much anticipated UK premiere of The Waiter, which will be released in UK theaters on Friday, January 31, 2025.
A few days later after photos of their trip was shared by May Edochie, an AI video emerged online showing AY Makun and the businesswoman kissing.
The 53-year-old addressed the issue in a post on his Instagram page on Wednesday night, urging creators of such content to use their talents for positive impact instead of spreading misinformation.
AY also took a swipe at the growing trend of online attacks, recalling how Big Brother Naija star, Alex Unusual, was previously targeted.
He questioned why people seemed intent on pushing away those who work with him or try to earn an honest living through him.
He wrote;

It is not news that AY and May Edochie recently collaborated on a film project called “The Waiter,” which they have aggressively promoted on and off social media.
