Fast-rising Nigerian singer Mavo has given his fans a special birthday present by releasing a two-track project titled HBD as he celebrates turning 23.
The project features two songs, “Happy Birthday” and “Today”. The second track features Kadi, the latest artiste signed to Mavo’s Kilogbede Records.
The release was announced by the label as a special gift to fans who have followed the singer’s journey from his early SoundCloud days.
Mavo, whose real name is Oseremen Marvin Ukanigbe, gained wider recognition in 2025 following the success of his song “Escaladizzy”. Since then, he has continued to build a name for himself in the Nigerian Afrobeats scene.
Known for his melodic delivery, street-inspired sound and distinctive slang, the singer describes his musical style as “Burbur music”.
His latest project also gives listeners an opportunity to discover Kadi, who joins him on “Today”.
At a time when many emerging artistes are working hard to establish their identities, Mavo’s decision to release music through his own label shows that he is also interested in developing his business and creative vision.
With another year added to his life and new music out for fans, the young singer has plenty to celebrate.
