Nollywood veteran Jumoke George has received a miraculous update about her long-lost daughter, Adeola, who had been missing for over four years. The emotional news was shared by actress and TV host Biola Bayo, who has been supporting Jumoke during her difficult time.
Just days ago, Jumoke George, in a heart-wrenching interview with Biola Bayo, revealed that her daughter who turns 41 this May, had vanished without a trace and hadn’t contacted any family member since her disappearance. In the viral video, she broke down in tears, lamenting her deteriorating health, rising medical bills, and the deep pain of not knowing her daughter’s whereabouts.
She said, “Dear Nigerians, please pray for me. “I have never ruined anyone’s life. I am tired, I can no longer bear it. I don’t have a home, I don’t have anything, and a child of mine is missing. “My firstborn, Adeola, has been missing for the past four years. I have been sick since January 2nd. I have done several tests, and now I need to do tests on my brain and heart. It costs N400,000, and I don’t know where to get the money.”
However, in a relieving turn of events, Biola Bayo revealed on Wednesday, May 14, that Adeola has been found alive in Mali. Though she has yet to speak directly with her mother, she is reportedly safe and currently receiving medical attention.
Biola wrote; “UPDATE! Adeola has been spotted in Mali. Though she hasn’t spoken with her mom yet, please tell her to call her. She’s currently in the hospital, but she will be happy to speak with her at least. I’ve tried calling her, but she has not been picking up anyone’s calls, and her mom is really worried,”
The actress also revealed that the search and confirmation were carried out by the Child Rights Campaign (CRC) who helped trace Adeola to Mali, revealing that she had left Nigeria in search of a better life. According to reports, Adeola lost her phone and has been stranded in Mali due to security crises involving Boko Haram and military forces.
In a voice call shared by Biola Bayo, Adeola explained that she had no travel documents and had been caught in the middle of the regional conflict, which left many dead and made return to Nigeria impossible.
Biola confirmed that Jumoke George, who is currently in a state hospital in Lagos, is relieved and hopeful despite not having spoken to her daughter directly.
