Nollywood actress Adebanke Adeyeye Awa, popularly known as Debanke, is filled with joy as she officially announces the birth of her first child.
The Yoruba actress had previously shared her pregnancy journey with fans while celebrating her birthday, and now, she has welcomed her bundle of joy.
Taking to her Instagram page, Debanke posted heartwarming photos from her hospital bed, revealing that her baby arrived safely on January 29, 2025.
She wrote:
“My sunshine arrived safely into this world on 1/29/2025 ❤️
Second slide is that moment you realize that every contraction was a gift 😘
I’m officially a MOM!”

Debanke’s motherhood journey comes months after she got engaged in September 2024. She had shared a beautiful video of the emotional moment when her partner proposed, proudly flaunting her engagement ring with the caption, “Forever starts now.”
Her engagement was widely celebrated, receiving congratulatory messages from colleagues such as Debbie Shokoya, Seyi Edun, and Kiitan Bukola.
However, her personal life has not been without controversy. Two years ago, Debanke was entangled in a scandal involving married actor Ibrahim Yekini, popularly known as Itele. Rumors swirled about an alleged relationship between them, particularly because Debanke was friends with Temitope Solaja, another actress romantically linked to Itele. The actor, however, strongly denied the allegations, vowing to address the speculations.
Now, Debanke has entered a new and beautiful chapter of her life as a mother, and fans are overjoyed to celebrate this milestone with her.
