Nigerian politician, Shina Peller has clarified amid speculations, that the popular TikToker, Peller is not a member of their family.
Speaking in an interview on Channels TV, Shina Peller clearly stated that despite sharing names with the TikToker, they are not related. Shina Peller explained that his family took on the surname due to his father’s work as a magician.
While acknowledging the TikToker’s successful use of the name to gain fame, Peller emphasized that they are not related.
Shina, who also dabbles in entrepreneurship and philanthropy, acknowledged the TikToker’s cleverness in leveraging the family name to gain popularity, describing it as a strategic move, but he firmly denied any familial ties.
Shina Peller said:
“Truly, Professor Peller’s family is quite extended, but he is not a member of the family.
The name ‘Peller’ was given to our father as a magician and it’s a name that the family has adopted since the time of my father.
“So, Peller, the comedian is not a member of the Peller family. It’s a successful name. He’s just being smart. He’s being able to pop with the name. You can’t blame him but I can tell you categorically that he’s not a member of the Peller family.”
The clarification comes at a time when many Nigerians have been speculating about a connection between the viral content creator and the Professor Peller dynasty, which is widely recognised for its influence on Nigerian magic and entertainment.
