The presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election, Mr. Peter Obi, has formally addressed the swirling rumors of a political pact with former President Goodluck Jonathan ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to Obi’s media aide and National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement Worldwide, Dr. Yunusa Tanko, there is absolutely no agreement or pact between the former Anambra governor and Jonathan aimed at unseating President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
The clarification was necessitated by a recent closed-door meeting between Obi and Jonathan in Abuja, which immediately triggered speculations of a forming political alliance.
