Regina Daniels’ brother, Samuel “Sammy West” Ojeogwu, was indeed granted bail by an Abuja Magistrate Court on Monday.
Reports indicate he was granted bail for N5 million (Five Million Naira).
Sammy West was arrested in Lagos and transferred to Abuja following a petition lodged with the FCT Police Command. The petition accused him and others of offences including criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, intimidation, theft, and cyberbullying.
His arrest was highly publicized as it occurred amidst the escalating marital crisis and public dispute between his sister, Regina Daniels, and her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko. The actress and her family had alleged that his arrest was ordered by the Senator.
Social media posts and reports confirm that his mother, Rita Daniels, and actress Mercy Johnson Okojie were among the people who were present to support the family during the bail process.
He has been released from custody pending the fulfillment of the bail conditions.
