“Regina’s Mum Brought Her to Me, I Never Chased Her” – Ned Nwoko Speaks on Marriage Drama

Senator and billionaire businessman Ned Nwoko has finally broken his silence on the heated drama surrounding his 6-year marriage to Nollywood actress Regina Daniels.

Amid reports of separation and domestic violence allegations, Ned cleared the air, saying he never pursued Regina for marriage, and that it was actually her mother, Rita Daniels, who brought her to him.

The Delta North Senator made the statement through his Communication and Technical Action Team, following the wave of backlash over claims that Regina was a minor (17) when they got married.

“For clarity, Regina Daniels was born on October 10, 2000. If she has been married to me for six years, that means she married at 19, not 17,” Ned said.

“The public witnessed her family giving her away in marriage. There were witnesses to the fact that her mother personally brought her to me. I never went after her.”

This comes weeks after Regina reportedly accused the Senator of domestic violence, saying she was done with the marriage. Ned, in turn, accused her of substance abuse and insisted she should go to rehab.

The messy public back-and-forth has kept Nigerians talking, with many celebrities and fans weighing in—some defending Regina, while others question Ned’s side of the story.

As the saga unfolds, social media remains divided over who to believe in this high-profile celebrity marriage drama.
