Cristiano Ronaldo struck his 100th goal for Italian giant’s Juventus in just three seasons, as 43 year-old- Veteran goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon made history as the oldest keeper in the Serie A to save a penalty, ensuring the Old Lady defeat Sassuolo 3-1 to keep their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League alive.
Buffon who had announced he will be leaving Juve at the end of the season just before Wednesday’s game, rose to the occasion and denied Sassuolo a lead by saving Domenico Berardi’s first-half penalty.
Adrien Rabiot fired Juventus ahead with a low shot, before Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 100th goal for the club in just 131 games, giving the visitors’ a near comfortable lead the break.

These three points are incredibly important for Juventus who had won the title in each of the previous nine years, but have suffered a rather frustrating season under Andrea Pirlo, and are currently fifth in Serie A with two matches to go, with very little hopes of finishing in the top four ans qualifying for the champions league next season.
