Controversial singer, Speed Darlington appreciates popular socialite, Cubana Chief Priest for sending N2M to his legal team to facilitate his release while he was behind bars.
Recall that Speed Darlington recently regained his freedom, having spent two months in detention for slandering and defaming his colleague, Burna Boy.
During Chiefpriest’s viral feud with Burna Boy online, he promised to get Speedy out of prison in retaliation for how his rival unsolicitedly helped his alleged brother Bethel Okechukwu with $30k.
Speed Darlington stated in a recent video that Cubana Chief Priest transferred N2M to his legal team while he was in prison, and two sources confirmed this.
He appreciated the businessman’s aid when he was in prison. Speed Darlington added that he initially believed the Cubana Chief Priest was simply using him to chase clout. However, he shared his joy in knowing that the barman was also fighting for his release.
“I thought you were chasing clout with my name, but two people confirm am say you came through..” Speed Darlington said in parts.

Darlington recently opened up to his fans and followers on the shocking experience he faced during his re-arrest.
Recounting how it happened, the singer described how he was abruptly stopped and arrested by two police squads while exiting an event venue.
He stated that at first, he thought his host had organised a police escort to transport him to his hotel, until 12 seconds in, he realised he had been arrested.
The rapper voiced his frustration at being held for two months and posted a video from his final performance prior to the arrest.
He wrote: “After I measured this booty right there in Owerri, 30 minutes later I came outside to go back to hotel because my obligation to the host has been fulfilled that’s when two squads of police rushed me and ruffled me up. The whole time I thought my host was trying to make me special by giving me escorts to my hotel from the venue since he was unable to provide it from hotel to the venue.. it took like 12 seconds or more before I realised that I’m under arrest just like that I was gone for two months.”
