Tacha Calls Out Nigerians In The UK For Not Acknowledging Her

Former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) star and media personality, Tacha Akide, has expressed her frustration with Nigerians in the United Kingdom (UK) who recorded her in public without acknowledging her presence.

Taking to her Instagram page, the reality TV star shared her disappointment, revealing that while many Nigerians spotted her throughout the day, none took a moment to exchange pleasantries. Instead, they silently pulled out their phones to record her; something she found quite distasteful.

Tacha didn’t hold back as she called out the behavior, contrasting it with how warmly she was received by non-Nigerians.

“You guys will not believe I saw so many Nigerians today, which was great. But the crazy part was that you’re seeing me, and you cannot even say ‘Hi.’ I can’t begin to count how many white people saw me and said I looked beautiful today,” she shared.

She went on to address those who secretly recorded her without so much as a greeting:

“I am not begging you to say ‘Hi,’ but if you’re not going to say ‘Hi,’ don’t record me.”

As expected, her comments sparked mixed reactions online. Some Nigerians sympathized with her frustration, while others dismissed her concerns, suggesting she was expecting too much.

One social media user, @bukidow, commented: “For abroad wey we no send some A-list celebrities sef.”

Another user, @memetush, added: “BEST AT RANTING. Your supposed celebrity status didn’t follow you there. It stayed back in Nigeria.”

While some felt she was making a big deal out of nothing, others agreed that basic courtesy like saying hello should be common practice, regardless of location.
