UCL Final: Young Princes make history with masterclass win over Inter

French Ligue 1 giants, Paris St-Germain have bought the services of some of the finest footballers including Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr. in search of the highly converted Uefa Champions League trophy.

And after decades of trying and splashing money, it was Luis Enrique’s rather young side who finally brought it home, doing so in a brilliant and outstanding manner.

The French Champions, who narrowly escaped being eliminated from the competition in the knockout stage, were simply no match for Inter Milan, their opponents in the final, as they outplayed them with a stunning 5-0 win.

Inter had knocked Barcelona out in the semi finals to bought a spot in the final, while PSG had gotten passed Arsenal, and on paper, it looked like Inter had better odds of clinching the trophy, but that wasn’t the case.

At halftime, the Italian side were already 2 goals down, courtesy of goals from Achraf Hakimi  and 19 year old Desire Doue.

After the break, Doue got a double and PSG’s third goal.  It didn’t look like there was a way back for Inter, but PSG took no chances as two more goals from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Senny Mayulu, sealed off a historic night for Enrique’s men in Munich and Paris (where the Eiffel Tower was graced with PSG’s red and blue). It was a fantastic season for PSG who bagged a quadruple.

On the other hand, Simone Inzaghi, his players and the Inter supporters were left completely heartbroken, but showed sportsmanship nonetheless by sending a congratulatory message to PSG
