Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie has set the pace for the possible qualification to the next round.
Goals from Rodrygo and Brahim Diaz came in handy for Madrid at the Santiago Bernabêu, and though Julian Alvarez’s curler was brilliant, it wasn’t enough for thr visitors.
However, the win is a narrow one and gives Atletico come hope when the entertain their City rivals for the return leg next week Wednesday at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano.
